Carry Out

We often get "carry-out" at a restaurant or at the drive-through window with the intention of eating it in the car or taking it home to eat. Sometimes we have "carry-ins" where we bring food to a gathering for the purpose of sharing with one another.

The Lord spoke this to my heart: Carry Out. Carry His presence, mercy, grace, love, and the goodness of God out of your church, out of your secret place into your neighborhood, the grocery store, and your workplace. Pass out samples of His heart everywhere you go. Give people a chance to taste and see that the Lord is good.

People are desperate for good news. They've heard bad news followed by more bad news for so long. They are starving for good news. Somehow, we Christians have forgotten that the gospel is good news. It's time we stopped believing the lie that the gospel is bad news. The gospel of love is good news. The gospel of grace is good news. The gospel of mercy is good news. The gospel of the goodness of God is good news. The gospel of the Kingdom of God is good news! His goodness will lead them to repentance (Romans 2:4).

Let's carry out the good news. I could actually visualize a banquet being spread before people out in the street, a community feast on the goodness of God.

As I imagined this banquet of God's goodness, I had an actual prophetic vision:

I saw bedroom furniture being rearranged. The bed was being moved to a wall directly across from a window. Then the window shade was pulled up to let in the light.

The Lord impressed on my spirit:

People are changing perspectives

and are actually open to good news.

Let's carry it out to them!
