December 2023: I went from sitting in God’s presence to sitting in heaven at the feet of Jesus. Peace permeated the atmosphere. Unimaginable peace. Nothing like I have ever experienced before. You might say “It was heaven.”
I smelled bread baking. That’s when I knew a WORD was about to come forth. Matthew 4:4 says, “Man cannot live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Fresh bread would soon be out of the oven. My spiritual appetite was fully activated.
Waiting in anticipation for that bread, I kept my eyes on Father & Jesus. I saw them look at the present, things happening right now on the earth. Their faces showed no sign of concern or worry. There was no anger or frustration in their expressions. Just absolute confidence. Father looked at the current events in confidence, knowing how things would unfold. He knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10). At one point, I even heard Father laugh. I thought of Psalm 2, “The nations rage. Earthly kings plan vain things but the Lord laughs at them” (Debbie’s translation). Jesus looked at me reassuringly, smiled, and said, “It is finished. The nations will be my inheritance” (also Psalm 2).
Next, they looked to the future. I focused on the future and saw lots of activity. Although I could not understand what I was seeing in the future, excitement rose in my spirit as I realized what I did not comprehend was: Jeremiah 29:11, 1 Corinthians 2:9, and John 14:3. Angels were making things ready.
Things must be progressing on schedule because their focus shifted from the future back to the present. I tried to follow their gaze. They locked eyes on the fields ready for harvest. When I looked at the fields it was as if the whole earth became one huge harvest field. Marveling, I glanced back at Father & Jesus. It was obvious they saw it too because their hearts were expanding right in front of my eyes. Their hearts were bursting with love for the lost. At that second, I felt a supernatural expansion of love in my heart for souls. Father sent a gentle rain and He sent wind to blow over the harvest. It pleased Him to nurture the harvest. It pleased Jesus to see His blood covering the harvest. 2 verses came to mind:
Luke 19:10: “Jesus came to seek & save the lost.” Jesus' primary purpose was/is to save souls. His name means Jehovah saves.
Isaiah 30:18: “The Lord (Father God) waits to be gracious; He exalts Himself to show mercy.” Father, waits for an opportunity to extend grace & mercy (to the lost, to us, to all needing it). He waits for it. I had the thought that Father waits because he is patient. He corrected me, “I wait because I love.”
My vision was directed to the laborers, those attending to the harvest. I saw that God was pleased to grant breakthrough to those who partnered with Him to nurture the fields and bring in the harvest.
Father spoke to my heart, “Breakthrough comes when we partner with Him.” I asked Him what I could do regarding the harvest. He answered me, “Know Me and make Me known.”
Suddenly, I could taste fresh warm bread in my mouth. The Fresh Word:
The catalyst to breakthrough (personal or corporate) is to partner with Him in the harvest.
Ask Him what you can do to partner with Him in this season of harvest.
