9.21.2023 Just as I was waking up, the Lord dropped a word in my heart:
“Be of good cheer, For I have overcome the world.”
I reached for my Bible and found His words in John 16:33.
“These things I have spoken unto you,
that in me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation:
but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world.”
As I meditated on the verse, this is what Holy Spirit illuminated:
These things I have spoken unto you – These things/His words are the written word, the words He speaks through the prophets, and the words He speaks to your heart. All His words are necessary. Heed His words. They are life. “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life” (John 6:63). Get in the written word. Cultivate ears that hear Him speaking to your heart. It’s imperative that we hear His voice, especially in the coming days.
That in me ye might have peace – In Him! In Him! In Him you can have/choose peace. Dwell in Him. Live in Him. Choose to live, move, and have your being in Him. Live in Him and His words will keep your heart in peace. “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). Choose His peace. His peace is powerful, able to dismantle fear, worry, anxiety, distress, confusion, turmoil of spirit…
In the world ye shall have tribulation – You are in the world but not of the world, so live in Me. If you identify with the world and its tribulation, you will not have peace. Live in Me. In Me, you can choose peace in every storm. Tribulation, turbulent times, are inevitable, but
Be of good cheer – Cheer Up! Do not give place to discouragement, depression, fear, and panic. Choose peace. Choose joy. Choose to live in Me. Choose to trust Me. Lean into My every word (written & spoken) and peace will reign in your heart and mind by My Spirit. It's supernatural peace. It's supernatural joy.
I have overcome the world – Live in Me because I have already won the victory. “I rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. In My hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand Me” (2 Chronicles 20:6). “Kingship belongs to Me. I rule over the nations” (Psalm 22:28). So, cheer up! I'm in control. I really am!
Here are links to supporting verses (words He spoke) to help you CHEER UP! Woohoo!
