Intruders Versus Destiny

I had only been awake and out of bed for a few minutes when I detected a fox in the garden. Let me explain. Jealousy was lurking in my spirit, trying to take up residence. Thanks to Holy Spirit, I spotted the sneaky fox immediately.

Jesus & I took it -- in His authority, I expelled it! I showed it no mercy. Jesus & I walked together in my spirit, my garden. We celebrated that the fruit in my spirit is sweet and plentiful. Jesus pointed out the tender buds that were about to bloom. He told me that the fox was after those buds. The fox’s mission was to destroy those buds so that the next season Father has for me would not come to fruition.

What if I had tolerated the fox (jealousy) for even half an hour?

What would he have eaten and spoiled?

Have you ever asked the Lord, “WHEN?” “When will the plans You have for me happen?” I have. I have asked when my breakthrough would come. I have asked why my destiny has been delayed.

Perhaps I have neglected the foxes, allowing them to spoil the vine and the tender buds thus pushing my destiny off for one more season?

“Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines:

for our vines have tender grapes” Song of Solomon 2:15.

We must guard our heart/spirit/garden against intruders. Intruders like anger, offense, pride, worry, jealousy, criticalness, fear, and... Each is a fox bent on destroying your buds and your next season.

Whenever, by Holy Spirit’s prompting, I tell something to leave me, I then ask Jesus what He wants to give me in its place. I told jealousy to leave in Jesus’ name. Then I asked Him what He wanted to give me, what He wanted to plant in my garden in the place of jealousy. He said, “Security.” He said, “Surefootedness.” He gave me the seeds for both. Together, Jesus & I planted them in my spirit. Jesus told me to water the seeds of security & surefootedness with the Word. He explained that the Word and His presence in my spirit would cause the seeds to thrive and cause my whole garden to thrive.

What's lurking in your garden, spoiling the vine, delaying your breakthrough season?
