Opossums are Stalking

Dream (11.18.22): An opossum was threatening to attack me. I grabbed it by the throat and strangled it, twisting and twisting its neck. It eventually stopped struggling. I continued to hold the tension on the twisted neck for several minutes and then I hurled it across the fence. In a few minutes, it got up and staggered away.

Interpretation: I asked Holy Spirit, “What are You showing me?”

Holy Spirit said, "Opossums are devourers and thieves."

Due to the state of the economy (inflation, interest rates, the cost of groceries & fuel), the enemy is seizing any opportunity to plant a stronghold of anxiety and fear in the area of finances. Do not let him threaten you. Do not let him infiltrate your thinking. If he can get in your mind, you will start to repeat his lies which will allow him to steal your peace and your blessings. He is a thief.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion,

walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (I Peter 5:8).

Holy Spirit said, “Opossums carry disease and symbolize oppression.”

It is flu season. Covid is still stalking as well. Give the fear of disease and sickness no place in your thinking. Give oppression no place.

"Resist him, steadfast in the faith” (1 Peter 5:9).

When I violently resisted him, he staggered away empty-handed. The thief left. The devourer left. Disease left. Fear left. Oppression left. Victory was mine! Victory is mine! Praise Jesus!

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).

Arm yourself with truth: We must stand ready for opossum attacks. The thief is stalking you, threatening to attack. Fear & oppression are stalking you. Disease is stalking you. Stand blood covered and confront the enemy with the truth. We must exercise our authority and be forceful with him. When we do, he will stop threatening, taunting, and harassing us. He will flee.

Truth: My God shall supply all of my needs according to His riches in glory” (Philippians 4:19).

I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Surely, He shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He will cover me with His feathers, and under His wings shall I trust: His truth shall be my shield and buckler. I will not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flies by day; Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand shall fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand; but it shall not come near me. There shall no evil befall me, neither shall any plague come near my dwelling” (Psalm 91:2-7,10).
