Passion for Pentecost

My heart cries out for a fresh Pentecost outpouring!

Almost every evening as we sit down to dinner, my husband lights a candle that we keep on the table. We dine by candlelight as we share the events of our day with one another. The other night the fire starter would not ignite. Brent struck it again and again trying to light the candle. As he threw it away, he said “I guess it’s out of fuel.” He got old fashion matches out of the drawer and lit the candle.

I pondered this for a couple of days, telling God that I yearn for fresh fire directly from the altar in heaven. The truth is I deeply long for a fresh Holy Spirit outpouring. Realizing that Pentecost is almost upon us (June 5th), I began to pray for a mighty outpouring.

Join me in praying:

Father, we’re so hungry for Your presence.

We weep for your presence.

We seek Your face.

We ask for a fresh Holy Spirit outpouring.

We ask for fresh fire.

We cry out - Your Kingdom come.

Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Cloak us with love and holy passion for Your Kingdom’s sake.

We’re passionate for souls.

We’re passionate for revival.

We’re passionate for reformation of church & state.

Jesus, we worship You.

We’re passionate for Your power.

Power that saves.

Power that that heals.

Power that delivers.

Power that transforms and reforms.

Power that brings freedom.

Holy Spirit, come!

Winds of heaven blow over us.

Let heaven come down and change our perspective.

Holy Wind, blow over us and rearrange our priorities.

Father, send revival fire.

Ignite tongues with boldness to declare the love & goodness of God.

Father, send the latter-day outpouring.

Let it fall on our sons & daughters.

Let young men prophesy.

And old men dream dreams.

Let there be signs & wonders in the heavenlies that glorify You.

Let all eyes, ears, & hearts turn to behold Your glory.

Let the earth tremble before You.

Let God arise & His enemies be scattered.

Father, here our cry!

We long for You!
