DREAM/VISION: The Lord showed me empty seats, very prominent seats. He is searching for those He can seat closer to His throne. Ask Him if you qualify for a seating upgrade.
1. He showed me people comfortably settled in the old family rocker. They are content to sit in the iniquities of their ancestors. That rocking chair is familiar and so very comfortable.
2. I saw others in purple recliners with very smug looks on their faces. These are people who experienced high levels of glory and are content to sit in remembrance of former glory days.
3. He showed me blue recliners. The people seated in them are depressed and are making no effort to rise out of it. They choose to sink lower into their “blue” recliners making an indent in the seat that is nearly impossible to climb out of.
4. I saw some people standing because they had been kicked out of their seats by others. Now they’re wondering: who they are, where they belong, and if they will ever sit again. Purpose and identity issues plague them.
5. Next, I saw people that are hurting and cannot get comfortable in any seat. Past hurts and wounds make it almost impossible for them to sit at all.
I saw the Lord’s compassion. Jesus longs for each of us to sit as close to Him as possible. He has provided everything needed.
1. We can trade the old family rocker for freedom from generational sins and curses by repenting of them personally & generationally. Freedom is an awesome seat much closer to Him.
2. Give all the former glory to Jesus. Keep none for yourself. He will upgrade you to a seat of darker purple (the next level of glory). “From glory to glory.”
3. Jesus wants to take away your blues (depression). Forgive others and forgive God for the disappointments & losses you have suffered. He wants to seat you in peace and joy unspeakable.
4. Forgive those who violently unseated you. “Behold, I will do a new thing”, says the Lord. A new beginning and a seat of restoration are waiting for you.
5. Give Him the pain and anguish from those past hurts/wounds. Jesus will give you the grace & ability to forgive. Ask Him for it. Receive it by faith. Speak forgiveness and blessings over those who hurt you. Emotional healing will quickly follow. You will be seated in strength and honor.
I encourage you to take a moment and ask the Lord what you are seated in. He showed me the five seats mentioned above but there are many other things a person could be seated in. Things like anger or pride. Things that you may be stuck in and settled into.
Ask Him for a seating upgrade. A change in seating is actually a change of heart. It’s hard to get out of a chair (heart condition/mindset) that you’ve been sitting on for a long time. Be willing to trade your current comfortable seat for a better seat, one closer to Him & His throne. From your new seat, you will be able to hear His voice more clearly and see things from a perspective closer to His.
Identity. Purpose. Value. I was ready to end this blog when Holy Spirit spoke to me. He said, “Tell them: Your new seat may feel uncomfortable at first, but soon you will have a renewed sense of identity (who you are in Jesus), purpose (your place in the body of Christ), and value (your worth in God’s Kingdom).”
