What Page Are You On?

Recently my husband and I were having a conversation in the car. I made a comment based on what I thought we were talking about. His reply was bizarre. So, I asked him, "What page are you on?" He laughed, "Page? What book are you reading? Or better yet, what library are you in?" Realizing that we were talking about two different things, we both had a good laugh.

This scenario often applies to our walk with the Lord. We may not be on the same page, not in the same book, and even in a different library than He is. Jesus still walks with us, listens to us, and talks to us. We often miss what He is saying because we aren't on the same page, book, or library - not a place to receive what He is saying by His Spirit.

Book: First of all, the right book is obviously the Bible. We must stay in His word and trust Him to guide our lives the Good News.

Page: The right page has more to do with a right attitude or perhaps a right perspective than an actual page or chapter of the Bible. Meditating on the Word keeps us on the right page.

Library: Lastly, the right library points to Psalm 139:16. In the library of heaven, God has a book about you. He wrote all His plans for you in that book (Jeremiah 29:11).

Prayer: Have conversations with the Lord. My husband and I discovered that we were not on the same page by having a conversation. Practice listening to Him. Ask Him questions and be quiet so you can hear His answer. Also, I've found that praying in tongues sets my attitude and perspective aside, helping me get back on the right page and hear Him accurately.

Worship: Worship is a huge attitude/perspective adjuster.

To be on the same page as the Father, we need to stay in the Word, meditate on His promises, believe His plans, talk with Him and worship Him. If we are not diligent in these areas, the enemy and life itself will derail us. We will find ourselves discouraged, frustrated, and wondering where God is. He is still there, but we are on the wrong page, perhaps in the wrong book, or even in the wrong library.

Maybe you should have a conversation with Him right now. Ask Him if you are in the right book, on the right page, and in the right library?

Speaking Prophetically: Book, Page, and Library

Book: God has been speaking to me from the book of Acts. I believe we are living in a modern-day book of Acts.

Page: Boldness to stand against the tide is falling on the church - to stand for life, truth, and righteousness. Yes, resistance is increasing but as we step out of our comfort zones with boldness, we will see supernatural signs and wonders. In Acts 13, Paul encountered a sorcerer who was hindering the Word in a specific region. Witchcraft had a stronghold over the deputy of the area (Selah). Paul faced and addressed the sorcerer boldly, "You who are full of every kind of deceit and every kind of fraud, son of the devil, enemy of everything right and good, will you never stop perverting the straight paths of the Lord?" It's like Paul gave the sorcerer a chance to repent. Sensing the sorcerer was not going to stop, Paul cursed him with blindness. Then the deputy of the land was free to hear the word of the Lord. He believed and was converted. This is the page we are on in this hour. It's time to embrace the boldness of the Holy Spirit, face the opposition, and do the works of God without apology.

Note: Many of my readers want to know what I am hearing for this hour. Going forward, I will put an excerpt at the bottom of my blog posts sharing what I sense by the Spirit. I will not give a hint about it in the title or use certain buzz words because lately, social media outlets have hindered my circulation.
